About the department

The Department of Sociology was established in 2017. This department started with more than 300 students in general degree course. Sociology is the scientific study of Society, study of social relationships, human interaction and interrelations their conditions and consequences. And it’s also study of social action, social phenomena, social system and culture of everyday life.

Objectives of this department are

• To introduce students to the basic social processes of society, social institutions and patterns of social behavior.
• To teach students the sociological concepts, theories and methods of the behavioral and social services.
• To prepare students for Pass Graduate study.
• To analyze quantitative and qualitative data.
• To examine critically social issues of importance.
• And students will demonstrate familiarity with the sociological imagination.
