Alumni Association

The Alumni Association of the college was established in December, 2002. Every member has expressed her/his willingness to help the authority towards the proper development of the college. The association has set up a statue of Prabhu Jagatbandhu on the college premises. Students are motivated to join the Association and thereby enrich it.

Reunion

Alumni Association organised Reunion of the ex-students of our college in 10th August, 2014. Many ex Prabhians came to the college making it one of most successful ones to date. Thank you to everyone who travelled—near and far—back to PJC. We hope you had as much fun as we did.

The founder of our college Dr. Tinkari Ghosh named our college after his guru the saint Prabhu Jagatbandhu. His renowned Disciple, Dr. Mahanambrata Brahmachari (25 December 1904-18 October 1999), who represented India as a delegate in the Conference of World Fellowship of Faiths, Chicago, U.S.A. (commonly known as Viswa Dharma Mahasabha), laid the foundation stone of the college in 1964. To commemorate the incidence, monk from Mahanam Sampraday was invited on the occasion by the Alumni Association. Sri Gourav Bandhu Brahmachari, Secretary of The Mahanam Sampraday were the Chief Guests of the programme.

On the gala day of Reunion, the Marble statue of Saint Prabhu Jagatbandhu was inaugurated by  Sri Gourav Bandhu Brahmachari, Secretary of The Mahanam Sampraday. The college Flag and the Flag of the Alumni Association was hoisted by Dr. Sarada Mandal, the Teacher-in-Charge.

Along with the ex-students many ex professors were present on that Day.

All the guests enjoyed delicious lunch and a beautiful cultural programme.

The day of 8th February, 2015, Sunday has been fixed to be the next Reunion Day.

Health Club

Alumni Association helped to fix a meeting between the BMOH, Sankrail Block Hospital and Prof. Mukul Saha, the mentor of the Health Club and further helped to arrange a health camp for referral and screening of both the girl and boy students.

Closing Carnival of Golden Jubilee on 20th September, 2014

Members of the Alumni Association participated in several meetings with the college authority before the Closing Carnival of Golden Jubilee on 20th September, 2014 and gave many fabulous ideas to make the programme successful.
