Imparting Universal Values To The Students (2019-20):

The Value Education Cell of the college is thriving to inculcate uniform values among the students. Even amidst the critical pandemic situation the cell conducted Afforestation programme in collaboration with eco club and NSS unit on 5th September 2019 to promote environmental values among the students. Almost 200 students along with faculty members and staff participated in the programme

The cell has also celebrated Vasanta Utsav to inculcate fraternity, brotherhood and fello feeling among the students in collaboration with department of Philosophy on 5th March 2020. Around 100 students along with faculty members and staff participated in the programme

Free Computer literacy programme for Economically Backward students (2018-19):

On 2018-19 the institution has launched an unique programme of imparting free basic computer training for economically backward students of the college. The free computer literacy programme is usually delivered on Saturdays after college hours. A total of 59 students have enrolled in the programme .The training programme covers the following issues:

  1. Learning uses and parts of a computer.
  2. Computer start up and shut down.
  3. Using keyboard
  4. Using the mouse/touch pad.
  5. Using paint to draw
  6. Naming and organizing files, text processing and formatting.
  7. Using spreadsheets as database and calculator.
  8. Presentation skills.
  9. Internet applications for browsing and searching.

The Programme is coordinated by Dr. Arnab Gupta, Assistant professor in Maths, and Dr. Kisor Mukhopadhyay, Associate professor in Physics and Mr. Amitava Sardar, goverrment approved part time teacher and taking regular classes.
