About the department

The department of Electronic Science is among some of the newly established departments of the college. While the college was established in 1965 the department came into existence in the year 2003. The department offers B Sc General in Electronics. The department has highly qualified, motivated, and dedicated faculty members specialized in network and data security , microprocessor, and microwave electronics. The faculty members are involved in research in the latest and upcoming technologies. In short span the department has been able to generate interest and has made the students curious about the subject of electronics.

The department caters to the students who opt electronics as one of their general subjects and to the students of Computer Science who has electronics as their main subject.

The department offers excellent learning and experimental facilities for inquisitive minds of the students. The faculty members are always ready to help beyond the classroom hours on electronic projects that students take up as their hobby or amateur passion. The electronics lab is well equipped with required kits, components and instruments to conduct proper laboratory classes for the students. The departmental library is run for electronics general and computer science honours students. The students are helped and guided in various open source software's which are available for electronics related subjects. The key strength of the department is the encouragement students are given to go beyond the curriculum and learn skills that help them stand in good stead in their future careers.
